About
Shinto Weddings

Shinto weddings are traditional Japanese ceremonies rooted in the Shinto religion, emphasizing harmony, purity, and connection to nature. These include purification rites, the exchange of nuptial cups of sake (san-san-kudo), and the recitation of vows by the couple.

The ceremony is intimate and solemn, focusing on spiritual and familial bonds rather than large-scale celebrations.

We are honored to have you join us for our Shinto wedding ceremony. To help preserve the spiritual atmosphere and traditions of the event, we kindly ask for your cooperation with the following requests:

No Photography During the Ceremony
  • Out of respect for the sanctity of the rituals and the shrine, we request that no photography or video recording take place during the ceremony. There will be designated times and places for photos outside the ceremony, and we appreciate your understanding.
 Dress Code
  • For gentlemen: A dark suit with a light-colored shirt and a tie or a formal kimono
  • For ladies: A modest dress, skirt suit, or formal kimono in subdued or pastel tones is recommended

Your presence and adherence to these customs will contribute to the harmony of our special day. If you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out to us.
